I didnt put a post it there so mine would be in this blog. =)
I'm thankful for having a sister here and to celebrate thanksgiving!! =)
So yesterday was pre-thanksgiving i would say. My sister and Keegan were suppose to go to one of the church's pastor house, which we went for crossroads dinner before. I was kinda reluctant to go because like its all older people and everybody know's everybody, I felt kinda lonely there. However it was way better than i thought. I met with a few people that i was talking to last time and we had good conversation. Sadly we arrived later so i couldn't snap pictures of the food but only got the desserts. Well that is basically the nicest looking part of the dinner i think. LOL So yes i did enjoy my time there and food as well. Turkey baby!! Roast pork as well...Good shit i tell you!!
So let me show you some food that my sis made.
Smoker salmon layered with cucumber on sliced French bread, toasted and with cream cheese spread. Really good appetizers, kena sapu by everyone.
Toasted bacon with grape tomatoes and a strip of red onion on a toasted French bread spread with pesto sauce. Finished as well, but i personally think salmon better because i would definitely choose salmon over bacon. Hehehe.
Pear pie made by Keegan. Since he started his pastry classes already, his level of baking definitely increase way up high. This wasn't that good but wait till you see the next dessert he made.
Frozen souffle with cranberry, mint and sprinkle cinnamon. Looks good?? well it taste damn awesome too. 4 thumbs up man!!
So here are the other desserts which were also darn good. plus with the amount of variety, there were a lot leftovers.
Another thing that I would be thankful, i had my Japanese food here for lunch. And it is no ordinary Japanese food man.
Its a restaurant in Brookline, Boston. Nice cosy location and setting, with Japanese waitress.
Food - Darn good!! Double plus for presentation!!
Lunch set that i ordered. Start from 6o'clock, clockwise. We had tuna, mackerel and flat fish sashimi then cold vegetable, then grilled salmon, then steamed broccoli, then prawn, broccoli and yam tempura, then fried chicken, then 2 grapes, then seaweed and lastly in the middle vegetable and peanut sesame sauce.
Another set lunch. Rice with grilled prawn and fried chicken, then fish roe, then tuna, flat fish and salmon sashimi, then udon noodles, then grilled salmon, then cawanmushi, then prawn, broccoli, and yam tempura then 2 grapes and in the middle they have prawn roe, grape tomato and vegetable inside and semi rare beef.
Don't both of them just look too good to be eaten??
So satisfying to have something nice to see and eat after 2 months of horrible looking dining hall food!! hahaha
HAPPY!!
